Top 8 Attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

When I was at Walt Disney World, these are the 8 attractions I enjoyed the most.

  1. Toy Story Mania

Wear 3-D glasses and enjoy an interactive ride where the goal is to shoot projectiles like eggs, darts, balls, and rings. See a variety of characters including Toy Story’s Woody, Buzz, Hmm, Bo Peep and Green Army Men. This is a very popular ride, so it’s best to get a FAST PASS. This is by far my favorite ride. I made it to the beaver (based on your score, you are given an animal).

One way to schedule a day at Epcot Future World

On a trip to Walt Disney World, my fiance and I also stopped at Epcot Future World. We started at 11:30 AM and was able to enjoy 10 attractions by 8 PM.

First we went to get a FASTPASS for Test Track (a fast attraction aboard a GM vehicle), if you want to ride it. Usually by early afternoon, the FASTPASSES run out. This is Disney’s system that reduces amount of time you spend in line. It is free and you put your park pass into a machine near an attraction with FASTPASS-noted in your map. It will give you the time you can return and when you can get another FASTPASS. With a FASTPASS you usually only have to wait 5 minutes for a ride you would normally be standing in line for for an hour.

15 Highlights at Epcot World Showcase

Epcot World Showcase is a fun and relaxing theme park. Here are tips and places to check out while you’re here.

  1. Obtain Map and Show times guide as you explore each area.

  2. Passport is a great way to explore the park.

You can get it “stamped” at each land by a cast member. Epcot sells these passports at any of the shops or carts for $10. It comes with a pin and a set of stickers.

8 great table service restaurants at Walt Disney World

Cinderella’s Royal Table
Location: Magic Kingdom Cinderella Castle

Meals served: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Character
Price range: $36-60
Hours: 8 AM-11:15 AM, Noon-3:00 PM, 4 PM-closing

Personal Experience: I ate here on July 3rd. We made a dinner reservation for 8:40 PM (which was made 2 months in advance). I had a delicious crab soup for appetizer and salmon with lemon caper sauce for the main dish. For desert I had a creme brulee. The atmosphere was excellent as we were also able to see the fireworks (4th of July special).

Tickets for sports games, concerts, theaters don’t necessarily have to be expensive. Sites like stubhub often sell tickets for great seats at a lower price than when purchased directly from the venue.

Travel Log: Japan Trip Day 7

This is the last blog of the series. Continued from Day 6.

We woke up and this time ate breakfast at Cafe 24, in the lobby of the Shinagawa Prince Hotel.

On this day, we decided to use the JR railway once more and take a tour of Tokyo. One of our main stops was to Keio University Medical Campus, one of Japan’s prestigious public universities. It is located in Shinanomachi.

After eating breakfast provided by the Ryokan (traditional inn) at Izu Prefecture, I went into the onsen hotsprings once again. It relaxes your muscles and the water makes your skin smooth. After saying our grateful thank you’s to the staff at the Ryokan, we began our driving tour around Toi. First we made a stop at Koibito Misaki Cape (also known as Two Lover’s Point) in Toi. There are statues here, as well as a gold bell. It is believed that if you ring the gold bell three times, you will succeed in love.

After eating breakfast at the Yaizu hotel, we drove with the relatives to embark on a two day trip to Izu Prefecture. We first made a stop at a traditional hand-craft arts center called Sumpu Takumi Shuku. It is a great area for people interested in crafts. There are gift shops, restaurants, handmade ice cream shops, theaters, and museums. Also, there are workshops where you can make crafts tie dye, woodwork, laser sand blast art, ceramics, etc.

Next we drove to Fujikawa rakuza in Fujikawa, which had the perfect view of Mt. Fuji, the tallest mountain in Japan.
