Whenever I travel, I have three parts: a travel checklist of supplies I carry with me, keep in mind ways to reduce travel stress, and lastly things to create memories and add to my scrapbooking.

  1. Take pictures

    Photos are a great way to preserve memories. With digital cameras, it has even been easier. I usually download the photos onto Shutterfly and then I can order the ones I like, as well as work on various projects through the site.

  2. Record videos

    This takes more work, but is worth it on longer trips. Sometimes I will take out a small video camera to record a video diary on my trips.

Olympics is a huge feat, not only for the athletes, but also for the country hosting the events. These were some of the preparations that were needed to host the Olympics in Beijing:

  1. Figuring out distribution of venues

    Olympics would not exist without a location to host. With over 302 events, many specialized facilities are needed. These are some of the buildings that were developed/renovated specifically for the Olympics.

    • Beijing National Stadium

      The construction of the National Stadium, also known as the “Bird’s Nest” began in December of 2008. It is located in the Olympic Green and occupies 21.4 hectares. The National Stadium will serve as the main venue of of the Olympics 2008, hosting the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as the Athletics and Football events.

Moving can be a huge stressor in a person’s life. I have had 5 experiences (office, house, dorms) moving and I remember my first move into the college dorm to be the most stressful. Through my experiences as well as the experiences of others, moving became familiar and less of an agonizing experience. Here are the top 5 ways to reduce stress when moving:

  1. Find people to help with the move.

    Delegating tasks to appropriate people can be of great help when moving. For example, if you are moving homes, it can save time to have movers do all of the physical work. You might also enlist the help of a friend good at electronics to hook up computers, phones, etc.
