5 ways to be emotionally healthy

  • Let go of the past

    The past is something you cannot change or have control over. As difficult as it is, there are times that you must let it go. Otherwise your energy will focus on the negative events of the past and not the positives of the future.

    It is not about the quantity but the quality. It is immeasurable to have close relationships with a few who you can be yourself and share your honest thoughts and feelings.

  • Remove yourself from hurtful or damaging situations

    It is important to give yourself time and space to problem solve a positive approach in dealing with such a situation.

  • Have a plan for the future

    Having long range goals is healthy. Also have a road map of working on them one day at a time.

  • Focus on the positives in life experiences rather than the negatives

    When you accept that life is not perfect and focus on the glass being half full, the challenges can be exciting. It also does not seem as difficult.
