5 Ways to reduce stress and gain energy

Here are some tips on finding ways to gaining energy.

  1. Make a quiet time

    No matter how extroverted on person could be, it is important to have quiet time. This is a time where you can gather your thoughts and create physical and mental space for yourself.

  2. Stop procrastinating

    Procrastination creates tremendous stress. You feel constantly pressured for time to complete a project. Successful people may procrastinate at times, but when it comes to long-term goals, many plan ahead.

  3. Write lists

    Lists can help relieve the clutter that can swirl in your head.

  4. Set boundaries with family members, coworkers, and friends

    Nagging, suggestions, advice in moderation is good, but can easily become an energy killer. You can still be nice, but protect yourself. For example, “I understand you are trying to help me, but I need to think of these things for myself or….”

  5. Have routines

    Spontaneity is fun, but it is important to have certain schedules too. Complete chaos can create unnecessary stress and reduce your energy.
