This past trip was the first time I played golf outside of Southern California. The Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course was a great course. It’s long-distances, rough, and Bermuda grass greens provided fun challenges. The highlight was of course the 6th hole which has the Mickey Mouse bunker. It was also fun riding the cart (which is required) which has the GPS system and also a system to keep score.
Best Season to play: January through April, to beat crowds play Monday or Tuesday. On weekends, it is often closed for professional tour players to practice.
Yardage: Par 72, Front Tees: 5232 yards; Middle Tees: 6642 yards; Back Tees: 7517 yards. This makes it the longest of all Disney courses.

Course Features: Designed by Joe Lee, it is beautifully laid out and named for its more than 1500 Magnolila trees that spread throughout the golf course. It features elevated tees and wide fairways dotted with 97 bunkers.
Carts:Have the latest GPS technology with images of fairways, greens, hazards, as well as distances to other carts in vicinity.
Attire: Spikeless shoes are required. Proper golf attire is enforced. For men, this includes polo-style shirts with collars, turtleneck shirts, slacks or Bermuda-length shorts. For women, attire consists of polo-style shirts with collars, slacks, skirts or bermuda-length shorts.
Rating: Four-stars (outstanding) from Golf Digest Magazine.
Tournament: Magnolia Course is used every November for the Children’s Miracle Network Classic. This year it the tournament will occur on November 9-15.
Trivia: Tiger Woods won twice here, including his rookie year in 1996. The course record of 61 is held by Payne Stewart.
