This is a beautiful research and education institution in San Marino, California. It consists of three different areas. The library contains rare books and manuscripts like the Gutenberg Bible and Ellesmere Manuscript of Chaucer. The art collection is equally impressive containing such famous works as Thomas Gainsborough’s The Blue Boy. Once you step outside, you are faced with 120 acres of botanical gardens. It is divided into more than a dozen themes, including the Australian Garden, Camellia Collection, Desert Garden, Herb Garden, Japanese Garden, Rose Garden, Chinese Garden, Shakespeare Garden, Subtropical and Jungle Garden.
