5 Steps I’m taking to go green in my workplace

  1. Maximizing computer efficiency

I turn off the computer monitor at night. During the day, the computer is set to go to sleep automatically during short breaks. This can cut energy use by 70 percent.

  2. Lighting up

Energy efficient light bulbs are still bright, but safer for the environment.

  3. Healthy office

I use non-toxic cleaning supplies, which are still good cleaning agents. I use indoor plants, which not only are relaxing, but also have the dual role of absorbing indoor pollution.

  4. Going paperless

The computer is a great way to store information. In choosing to print only those necessary, a lot of trees can be saved. Not to mention the cluttered space!

  5. Print double sided

Things need to be printed some times. Double printing is another great way to save paper. Also I use the back side of junk documents for scrap paper.
