One of my favorite things to do in the summer time is to watch movies. These are my top summer picks beginning with X-men Origins: Wolverine, scheduled to release in theaters May 1st: Below is one of the trailers:
X-Men Origins is the prequel to X-men, which tells the story of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), a mutant who possesses amazing healing powers and retractable metal claws, leading up to events of X-men. James Logan and his half-brother Victor Creed/Sabretooth (Liev Schreiber) run away after Logal kills their biological father, who murdered Logan’s adoptive father. They serve together in many wars and are recruited by William Stryker (Danny Huston). However, Logan quits after wiping out an African village to live with his girlfriend Kayla Silver Fox (Lynn Collins). Six years pass before Stryker shows up and asks Logan to come back. Logan refuses and Creed shows up and murders his girlfriend. Logan accepts Stryker’s offer to be indestructable seek revenge for his girlfriend. Along his journey, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new (including Remy LeBeau/Gambit (Taulor Kitsch)). He also finds out the secret behind the Weapon XI project.

Next on May 8th: Star Trek will light up the universe.
Star Trek explores the early Starfleet careers of future Enterprise officers Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), Scotty (Simon Pegg), Amanda Grayson (Winona Ryder), Uhura (Zoe Saldana), McCoy (Karl Urban), Sulu (John Cho), and Chekhov (Anton Yelchin). A Romulan, Nero (Eric Bana), and a much older Spock (Leonard Nimoy) are influences, as well as Captain Pike (Bruce Greenwood), the first captain of the USS Enterprise.

A great action movie, Terminator Salvation will be release on May 21st.
This is the fourth installment of the Terminator Franchise. Set in post-apocalyptic 2018 John Connor (Christian Bale) is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright Sam Worthington, a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.
