Take the day off
This year Valentine’s day is on a Saturday so for most people they already have a day off. Even if there’s nothing special planned, every couple should deserve a break and time to spend together.
-
Go to a place that has special meaning
This could be where you first met or where you first kissed. For me, it was where my boyfriend and I had our first date: Disneyland!
-
Take a hiking adventure
If you and your sweetie are outdoor types or if you simply want to experience something new, consider hiking. There are many trails ranging from beginners to more advanced. There’s nothing more romantic than a stroll through nature. You might consider taking a lunch and having a picnic.
-
Go to the beach or lake
Another place to have a picnic or relax is by the beach or lake. Maybe even try a little fishing?
-
Visit the Zoo
Zoo’s are not just for children. It can be fun seeing the animals and viewing the landscape.
-
Visit a historic site or museum
Some historic sites even offer ghost tours of the old buildings. Nothing brings people closer together than a good old ghost story.
-
Attend a sports game
Cheer on your favorite team together! There’s lots of great energy being in a crowd of sports fans.
-
Have another honeymoon
Even if it means driving up to a local area for one night, it can be special and fun to get away.
-
Have a romantic movie marathon
Make some popcorn and lounge around. Cuddle together!
-
Make everyday valentines day
Tell your special someone that you love them everyday. Even if they know it can bring you closer by telling them. Also, develop and share interests together to develop a deeper relationship.
