Tuesday’s blog was about why laughter is the best medicine and today’s will be on what to do to incorporate laughter into your day. Here are 7 ways that have worked for me.

  1. Collect funny items

Having silly photos or comic strips often reminds me to see the light side of things. It also helps to create a pleasant environment. I also learn jokes, which leads me to the next point.

  2. Learn a few jokes

You can also get a joke book and memorize some. It is fun to share with friends and family.

  3. Seek out funny

Who you are with can often affect how you feel. If you are around negative people then you ill naturally be negative. I try to surround with positive people that are positive and often make me laugh. It is refreshing and energetic to be around that.

  4. Host a game night

You can never be too old for games that make you laugh like twister or Nintendo Wii.

  5. Watch comedies on tv or movies

Whether it be on Netflix, blockbuster or hitting the movies, you can never get too much from watching the comedies. One of my favorite sitcoms was Friends. I also like to watch stand up comedians on television like Robin Williams, Margaret Cho, and Chris Rock.,/p>

  6. Go to Comedy Clubs.

I went to go see Dane Cook at the Laugh Factory and he was hilarious. I was in tears.

  7. Learn to make fun of yourself

If I couldn’t laugh at some of the mistakes that I make, I would be a huge stress ball. I learned to laugh at myself especially when I miss hit the golf ball on the driving range.
