Benn Fraker (Men’s C-1 Slalom) is the youngest member of the US Canoe/Kayak team at age 17.
Scott Parsons (Men’s K-1 Slalom) placed 6th in the Athens Olympic event.
Heather Corrie (Women’s K-1 Slalom) is the oldest member on the team and this is her first Olympic appearance.
Casey Eichfeld (Men’s C-2 Slalom) is also a younger member of the team at age 18, who started at age 2.
Rick Powell (Men’s C-2 Slalom) is also a young competitor at age 19, who was in his first race at the age of 3.
Rami Zur (Men’s K-1 500m Flatwater) has the most Olympic experience, with Beijing being his 3rd Olympic appearance.
Carrie Johnson (Women’s K-1 500m Flatwater) is the only woman to qualify for a spot on the 2008 U.S. Flatwater Canoe/Kayak team.
Men’s Road includes George Hincapie, Levi Leipheimer, Jason McCartney, Christian Vande Velde, and David Zabriskie.
Women’s Road includes Kristin Armstrong, Amber Neben, and Christine Thorburn.
Men’s Track includes Michael Blatchford, Adam Duvendeck, Michael Friedman, Bobby Lea, Giddeon Massie, and Taylor Phinney.
Women’s Track include Sarah Hammer and Jennie Reed
Men’s Mountain Bike include Adam Craig and Todd Wells.
Women’s Mountain Bike include Georgia Gould and Mary McConneloug.
Men’s Bicycle Motocross (BMX) athletes include Kyle Bennett, Mike Day, and Donny Robinson.
Women’s Bicycle Motocross (BMX) athlete is Jill Kitner.

The members of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Men’s Gymnastics Team are: Joe Hagerty, Morgan Hamm, Paul Hamm, Jonathan Horton, Justin Spring, Kevin Tan. The three replacement athletes are Alexander Artemev, Raj Bhavsar, David Durante.
The athletes that will be competing this year are Eli Bremer, Margaux Isaksen, Sam Sacksen, and Sheila Taormina.
Athletes nominated include Brooke Abel (Fallbrook, CA), Janet Culp (Littleton, CO), Kate Hooven (Pleasanton, CA), Christina Jones (Fremont, CA), Becky Kim (Walnut Creek, CA), Meghan Kinney, (Mission Viejo, CA), Andrea Nott (San Jose, CA), Annabelle Orme (Walnut Creek, CA), Jillian Penner (Seattle, WA), Kim Probst (Troy, NY)
