Yesterday’s blog focused on the what allergies are, the symptoms and types. Today’s will focus on other treatment options that I have been exploring. Although I rely on the Claritin and Benadryl regimen, I realized that there are natural options such as nutrients, herbs, and homeopathic remedies. Please consult a physician or qualified practitioner for potential interactions and side effects.

Nutrients

  • Probiotics

Studies show that there is a link between unhealthy gut and allergy. The Probiotics are beneficial in replenishing good bacteria in the intestine. The Probiotic foods include yogurt and fermented foods.

Since I was a child, I always suffered from seasonal, dust and cat allergies. The symptoms are the typical sinus congestion, sinus pressure, fatigue, itchy eyes, itchy nose, watery eyes, etc.

What are allergies? (Cleveland Clinic, WebMD )

On Tuesday’s blog , I talked about 6 steps that have reduced cold symptoms for me. Here are 5 more steps that have worked.

  1. Gargling with warm, salt water

This is what my mom always tells me to do. It is natural and gentle on your throat. It helps to clear your throat of mucous that may be causing congestion. Even when you are not sick, it is a less invasive way of getting rid of harmful bacteria.

chess

  1. Attempt and accept challenges

I have always avoided chess up to now because I thought it was too challenging and I didn’t want to put much effort into playing a game. After I watched people play, I realized that I should take up the challenge. I knew that it was difficult, but at the same time you can miss great experiences by making excuses.

For the first time, I saw the classic films Godfather Part I and Godfather Part II. Initially, I did not want to see it because of the violence involved, but as I kept seeing it come up as one of the best films in the century, I became curious.

It did not take long before I was captivated and completely immersed. The story was intricately developed and the symbolisms were quite profound. The actors Marlon Brando and Al Pacino aided greatly in the development of the characters.

Computer Monitor:

  • Place squarely in front of you (middle at the g/h keys)

  • Should be straight up and down not tilted. This cuts glare and neck strain.

  • Top of screen should be at eye level.

Chair:

  • Seat pan should be square to the floor.

  • Back support: make sure your chair supports your lower back.

Yesterday’s Disney blog introduced admission, parking, and planning for large groups and children. Today’s will be on organizing time for Disneyland attractions, dining, and shopping.

Attractions:

  • Use Fast passes ( Disneyland resort homepage, Mouseplanet)

This is a way for you to do other things, while a ride time is reserved for you. All you have to do is go to the select rides with Fast pass areas, insert your admission ticket and return at the time on the ticket.

  • Ride Max Software

Allows you to schedule your attractions so that you spend the least amount of time in line.
