ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

be 65 or older OR

be partially or totally blind OR

have a medical condition that keeps you from working and is expected to last at least one year or result in death

HOW MUCH WILL YOU RECEIVE?
Basic monthly payment for 2008 is:

$637 for one person

$956 for a couple
However it can very depending on the state you live in, as well as your income.
HOW TO COMPLETE SSI APPLICATION

Complete the online adult disability and work history report

Call 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) or contact your local Social Security Office to set up an appointment to complete application form in person or over the phone.
