As the first couple of weeks of college life starts once again, so does the college sports season. If you hate sports and hate going to sports game then this blog does not apply directly to you! However, it can be a glimpse into why people might like to go to a sporting event.
-
Opportunity to try something new
Until I started attending USC, I had not attended a single college football game. I watched football on television, but I didn’t understand it and was quite bored to be honest. It was not until my friends invited me to actually attend a game, when I became intrigued.
-
Rejuvenate yourself!
When you hear the roar of hundreds of fans in a football stadium or basketball court or any sports building, it is amazing. There is so much energy in the air, you cannot help but feel happy and rejuvenated. The crowd cheers and you cheer!
-
Learn tools from watching sports
You don’t have to be an athlete to see team work in action, team morale, observe coaching styles, etc. These can easily be applied to the workplace where you may want to be that positive coach and motivator for your coworkers. You might be the mom trying to make your kids work together as a team.
-
Being with friends
It can serve as a fun way to hang out. It’s exciting to be with friends and root on a team together. You can share the great experience of standing up on the bleachers, eating popcorn, waving your pom poms, etc.
-
Enjoy the college life
Even if you don’t attend the college, you can still be part of the college life by attending games. There is something captivating about it.

Wonderful tips Tina. Sadly enough in college I did not get the chance to attend as many games as I personally wanted, however now I may see myself making up for some of that. Keep up the good work!
